Review of Weeks 1-5
 
As you all know, we have had some interesting discussions and insights regarding the foundational truths of this class. But for the sake of review, let's go over them right now:
 
  1. The Bible, though written by chosen men of God, is God's word to us. It is what we base all other doctrine on.
  2. Studying the Bible and allowing personal devotional time will not only strengthen our relationship with God, it will also provide meaning for our everyday lives.
  3. God never intended for us to live apart from Him. He has made a way for us to live eternally with Him. This being true, we know now that this life we live is not the end of our existence.
  4. God has given us a huge gift.  It is the gift of salvation.  We never did, nor will we ever do, anything to deserve it.  We call this Grace. 
  5. The world we live in is constantly at war - not the wars we see all around us, but a much larger war:  the war of good and evil. By accepting God's gift of grace, we begin to see how polarized the two worlds are. One is about serving self, and the other is about serving God.
