Oasis Counseling

Cooling shade from the heat of mind-burning problems.
Refreshing perspectives and the promise of growth.
Welcome to the Oasis
This ministry is devoted to providing affordable, professional, Christian counseling to our members and friends. We recognize mind, body, and spirit as the inseparable, whole person created in God’s image.
“Counselor” is one of the biblical names for God and the Holy Spirit (Isa. 9:6; Jn. 14:16, 26). God lives, creates, and works in relation—the Father, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus Christ. He created us for relationship as man and woman with Him. Jesus lived in a human family and later worked with and through disciples.
However, humans often hurt each other, resulting in brokenness and loneliness. Healing can occur in healthy relationships, creating renewed energy for everyone involved in the process. Out of mutual caring and sharing, we truly grow as human beings. Healthy connection leads to action, knowledge, and a sense of belonging and worth. Healthy connection creates a desire for more connection. Jesus invites us into a salvation relationship and restoration through the Holy Spirit and the Christian community.
Oasis counseling offers healing connections for people. This starts with the client and counselor connection, or the counselor and group. Within this relationship, behavior and thought training tools are often used. The counselor may suggest referrals for medical care or other resources because every part of a person needs to work together for health. During your counseling experience, you are welcome to join us in worship, study, or in other ministries of the Florida Hospital SDA Church.
