O Holy Night

December 26, 2015

“A thrill of hope; the weary world rejoices. For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.” It is the morning after. The morning after everything changed. Without this “Holy Night,” there would be no ministry, no cross, no resurrection, no hope. Today our world is weary, and wherever there is a lack of rejoicing, maybe it is because this story, “the morning after” just hasn’t been well reported enough. When it is grasped, there is rejoicing by even the weary world because there is a thrill of hope. Angels have sung, shepherds have visited, and what seems impossible and extremely unlikely has, in fact, happened—God has become man! EVERYTHING has changed—not just here, but change that shakes the universe to its core.
