Stand Alone: Communion

March 31, 2018

Resurrection and resulting resurrection life are both done by the Spirit for us and not by us.  The night before the crucifixion, Jesus prepares his followers for his death and for the coming of the Holy Spirit. He doesn’t tell the disciples and us how to form resurrection life in ourselves, but simply tells us that this is what the Spirit does. We will explore how the resurrection community is the Spirit’s work, and our calling is to be there to accept what is sent by the Father in Jesus’ name. We become the resurrection community as we echo Mary’s “Here am I, the servant of the Lord; let it be with me according to your word.”
